CONDITIONS FOR IMPORTING GOODS IN VANS

Before arriving at the port of Marseille, every van (professional or private) must submit a goods declaration, whether empty or loaded (at least, declaration of personal effects).

PERMANENT EXPORT OF A VEHICLE WITH VAT EXEMPTION

A new procedure has been introduced by the customs authorities with effect from 1 May 2026.

Ticket Ticket and Port Access
  • All passengers must hold a valid ticket showing Name / Surname / Vehicle Registration.
  • Any modification may result in a fare adjustment or modification fee.
  • Please make any changes before arriving at the port.
Ticket Foot Passengers
Ticket 2 pieces of luggage and 1 backpack (or handbag) per adult.
Ticket 1 child-size bag accepted for children under 10.
Ticket Additional luggage will not be accepted.
Ticket Only personal luggage is permitted.
Ticket Bicycles, scooters, household appliances and furniture are prohibited.
Ticket Mandatory Luggage Labelling
  • Name / Surname
  • Reservation Number
  • Numbering (e.g. 1/3 – 2/3 – 3/3)
  • Ship Name
  • Date of Departure
Ticket Vehicles

Any inconsistent / undeclared vehicle / trailer will be subject to fare adjustment and penalties.

Ticket Vehicle Height
  • Up to 1.90m: No extra charge
  • 1.91m to 2.60m: Fare adjustment
  • 2.61m to 4m: Fare adjustment
Ticket Vehicle Length
  • Vehicle, van lengths (incl. trailer): rate applicable on departure date.
Ticket Boarding restrictions
  • Non-compliant vehicles may be denied boarding.
  • Broken-down vehicles cannot be boarded.
  • Each vehicle boards with one driver only.
  • The driver must be declared on the ticket.
